Our Story
How it all started
Layaan Abayas was born out of friendship, faith, and a love for modest fashion. We are two friends who came together with a shared dream — to create beautiful, elegant abayas that are made with intention and heart, right here in South Africa.
Our journey began on Instagram, where we started showcasing our designs and taking custom orders. Each Layaan abaya is made-to-order and locally produced, allowing us to focus on quality, detail, and personalisation. We believe that modesty should never mean compromising on style or comfort, which is why we offer a variety of colour options and custom sizing to make every piece truly yours. Each design is made with care and attention to detail, so instead of mass production, we take 2–4 weeks to craft something truly special just for you.
